Group members swop ideas and take a keen interest in each other's work. It is a mixed group of beginners, improvers and some who have been painting a long time. All are developing skills and techniques. There is a variety of media used, including water colour, acrylics, pastels, gouache, and water colour pencils and pen. Subjects include landscape, still life, flowers, portraits and animals, some from life and others from pictures and members' own photographs.

Due to the weather last summer, it was difficult to organise outings to work outdoors, which we have done in the past.

The group has a collection of art books which are available for members to borrow and work from at the sessions.

As there is no storage space at the venue, members need to bring their own materials
