Backgammon is a game of skill and luck as you are relying on the throw of the dice to give you the best move options.
As you develop the skills and get to know tactics, the more likely you are to win, anyone can beat anyone given enough luck, and when you have the right dice, you have luck!
Understanding the concept of backgammon takes time and practice, but not as difficult as chess.
A first-time player can become a competent beginner in a matter of hours.
With that element of luck, you have a realistic chance of winning a game in a short time.
One game can take 10 – 15 minutes and by swapping opponents, you get to see and learn different ways of playing.
