As the name implies, this group looks at different methods of decorating and manipulating textiles. The focus is on hand and machine embroidery, printing on fabric and experimenting with ways to colour and shape fabrics. Please note that it does not include knitting, crochet or quilting. We also have occasional visits to textile exhibitions and places to gather inspiration for our projects. All abilities welcome!

| 1 October | Group Visit to Winterbourne House and Gardens Explore the Arts & Crafts house, visit the temporary exhibition and use the gardens to gather inspiration for creativity. |
| 5 November | Inspired by Angie Lewin Angie Lewin is a well-known artist who produces beautiful prints of seed heads, plants and other wildlife. We will use her work to inspire our own designs for a fabric picture. |
| 3 December | Christmas Stitching Make a stitched card. There will be a choice of designs. |
| 7 January | Fun With Teabags Use old teabags as the basis for a stitching project |
| 4 February | O is for Owl Make a cute applique owl picture which can be added to your alphabet sketchbook. |
| 4 March | Chicken Scratch Chicken Scratch is a type of embroidery worked on gingham fabric. Simple stitches are used to create geometric, lace-like patterns. |
| 1 April | Gelli Printing & Rust Dyeing Create interesting backgrounds for your textile work by printing with a Gelli plate. There will also be another chance to have a go at rust dyeing. |
| 6 May | Felting by Hand or Machine Learn how to embellish your work using a felting needle or an embellishing machine. |
| 3 June | Re-Create Create a beautiful picture by couching waste fabric, plastic and netting to a background. This meeting may be open to others as part of SustFest 2027. |
| 1 July | Funny Faces Learn how to draw simple characters that can then be embroidered. |
