Welcome to the Wyre Forest & District U3A Travel Group.

The Travel Group is expanding fast and always looking at new places to visit as well as old favourites. We generally plan two to three holidays a year, we like to go in spring and early autumn when possible.

We have, in the past, included Thursford Christmas Spectacular, Kynren, Edinburgh Tattoo, and last year a trip to Waddesdon Manor in Buckinghamshire for their Christmas Lights Show. We are always open to suggestions from our members; we aim to please where we can.

So far this year, 2025, we have had a holiday to Weymouth where we had the first warm weekend of the year. A trip to Kingston Lacy, a National Trust property, was enjoyed by members followed by a trip to Wimbourne Minster with its chained library and astronomical clock.

In June 2025, a Northern Cape cruise was enjoyed by members taking in the sights, sounds and history of the Fjords and its many towns and villages.  This was a great success so much so, a further cruise has been requested.

A holiday to Bournemouth has been planned for October 2025, this is a popular destination for our group and in March 2026 a trip to Suffolk in the east of the country is planned with various historical places to visit.
